Using oil in our everyday living and our spiritual life is meant to be an integral practice. It's a powerful tool to take our craft or goal chasing to the next level. Joining the mind, heart, soul and body balances all aspects of oneself, that we're able to work through each challenge.
Our hopes and dreams, anything at all that we wish to achieve, begins with our mind. Yet, that is not enough, is it? We must move ourselves into action. We can live inside of ourselves for years. Singing what I call the “tomorrow song.” Tomorrow I will start working out, tomorrow I will spend more time with my family. Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, only tomorrow never comes. Eventually, that is all that we have left. The echoes of false promises we've made an art of telling ourselves.
Look, you are smart. Most of this shit you already know for yourself. But, what are you doing about it? How long will you live a life that is stagnant? Allowing fears and feeling badly to consume you. Take a look around. Look deep beneath the surface. Your current situation is a direct reflection of your subconscious. It's time to discover that life you dream of. And, darlin’ you're worthy beyond your wildest imagination.
Making change is difficult and can be scary. Surround yourself with loving, positive people. Eat for fuel, rest and make self care a priority. Construct your environment to nurture your soul. It is so easy to forget that there is a spiritual self. Generally speaking, society is set up to drown out this important part of you. That old saying “health is wealth" is true. Think of this part of your life as an adventure to rediscover yourself, to reinvent yourself. Enjoy the process. Begin to bring in tools that help you to create your home and the temple of your body as a sanctuary from the negative energies that will creep into your day. These will be your tools, your weapons to keep the mind sharp, balanced and focused.
As I'm writing this right now, I struggle to stay focused. I might chew gum or rub on peppermint oil. These are my tools to aid in better concentration. Adding a couple drops into a burner or a diffuser is another effective method. I'm being a little lazy with it today. Whatever works best for us, right?
Tonight when I go to bed I will, per usual, struggle to sleep. I picked up a spray bottle from a dollar store and added distilled water with a few drops of lavender oil. Amber is one of my favorite scents for my home. I use it in my laundry. I always have a bottle of Blessed Herbal protection on my altar. Even in my car because road rage is real, my friends, cause people overlook that area of stress. Let's keep it 100%. People behave badly on the road. I've seen sweet little grandmothers turn into some real assholes.
What makes oils such a valuable and effective tool is there are so many ways to implement their use into your life! Oils are compact, small and travel well. Using tools that are holistic is a productive way to cope. I don't want anyone to feel badly, but oils are a whole lot better strategy than that cigarette break. You're capable of AMAZING THINGS!! YOU have so much potential to do anything your heart desires. Undoubtedly, you're a SOUL SHAKING, BAD ASS, but even the fiercest of kings and queens need hardware or some form of weaponry.
